The Pratt alum continues to rebel with color and camp through his painting practice. These days he has a much more receptive audience. The artist’s journey recalls that of queer, creative kids across the country who not only assert their difference but wield it. To paraphrase Baldwin, they walk on the earth as though they have the right to be here.
