Allouche Gallery is pleased to present a new body of work by Brooklyn based artist Malik Roberts featuring more than 15 works on canvas and paper. The solo exhibition focuses on the artist’s signature style of deconstructed portraits that explore the relationship between visual culture and today’s reality. While Roberts’ visual language combines influences of modern and pop art, such as Snoop Dogg and Madonna, the artist’s sophisticated compositions provok engagement rather than astonishment, inviting the viewer to consider the impact of visual media on the consumption of ideas in the Digital Age.
