Lou Ros paints in a very instinctive way by following the methodology of the Expressionists that influence him. He attempts to create works that represent bodies in a space without distortion, as achieved through the use of colors, brush strokes, composition, background and the rhythm of the painting. He paints without a clear definition as to what the final image will look like, stopping his paintbrush right before the work seems to be finished. He states: “Knowing when to stop before saying to much is what I try to do.”
