Spanish artist Manolo Valdes's work spans across various forms of media to depict imagery that explores history, contemporary culture, politics and everyday life. Influenced by the works of the masters Velazquez and Picasso, as well as Pop Art, Valdes believes in the utilization of one single image to create many projects. Each work, whether a painting, sculpture or drawing, acts as part of an interconnected whole. Valdes is most widely known for his large scale paintings and sculptures where-in he inflates the figures' size, abstracts the form and minimizes the detail.
