Hungarian-born artist Victory Vasarely is known as the founder of Optical Art, an abstract style art movement that explores optical illusions. Vasarely's creation of Op Art developed through an interest in the nature of perception and illusion. His work offers a unique sense of observation and insight by presenting works that offer a balance between art, science and mathematics. It is through art that Vasarely made scientific models visually comprehensible and aesthetically innovative.
