Allouche Gallery Los Angeles is proud to present b.’s debut solo exhibition Scattered in Los Angeles. With nine pristine new works on display, b. focuses on the concept of randomness in this series of paintings. “Randomness,” b. states, “is the medium that I use…to incorporate anything that can be recognized or be a part of a collective memory.” The exhibition title, Scattered, refers to the idea, or the result of an idea, happening in various locations from a random assortment of commonplace objects – a pile of trash, human refuse, VHS tapes, coca cola bottles – as commentary on globalization, pollution, over-consumption, climate change and social inequality conforming into the scattering of human traces.
