Allouche Gallery is pleased to present a solo exhibition of new works by Rafa Macarron: Fluorescent Routine. The exhibition explores the greatness of ordinary life and daily routine. The works depict scenes and items from every day life: chairs, showers, blow dryers, etc., along with every day activities such as waiting at the bus stop or playing in a park. With this, each work embodies mysticism, invitation and provocation, and his characters, painted in a dreamlike, contemplative state, move through their lives on their own journeys. Each painting is a manifesto of counter-culture; by observing the characters in their own settings, in-turn the spectator becomes a seeker and an explorer of his or her own self.
