Anthony Lister, The Art of Fact

Allouche Gallery is pleased to present The Art of Fact by Anthony Lister. This new body of work is filled with philosophical intention and mirror's the painter's message which Lister sums up as: “My preference leans more towards the literal, therefore I refer to myself as a painter. For starters the word 'art' is far too short…and is an abbreviation for the work artifact…If this is so, then I find myself (in the context of contemporary language) making facts.” Lister believes, through his interpretation of art as fact, that he is a factmaker. This current exhibition is an example of how Anthony Lister turned “art” into “fact.”
